Growing up, my parents always had the camcorder rolling. Christmas               mornings, dance recitals,     just hanging                       around the house — everyday life,      preserved forever. Those tapes aren’t just home movies. They’re proof of the way we laughed, the way we loved, the way we *were*. And even now I can still see those moments, whenever I want.

nostalgia hits different when you can press play on it.

What I got back wasn’t just footage—it was a time capsule. Unfiltered, imperfect, and real.

Here’s the thing: when a professional’s behind the camera, people act differently. But when it’s a camcorder passed around between friends and family? Everyone lets their guard down.

They’re not worried about looking perfect. They’re just being there. And that’s where the magic is.

This whole thing started when I handed a camcorder to a wedding guest.

I'M REBECCA, BY THE WAY!

Some moments only happen once—but they can last forever.
